Kromatiks - Twenty Years And Growing

 

In March-April 2010 Kromatiks & Insulants Pvt. Ltd. will be completing two decades in serving the FRP Industry by manufacturing high performance pigment dispersions of consistent quality.  The company was promoted twenty years ago in a rented Facility in the outskirts of Chennai.  Using two small grinders and mixers, the company made pigments for FRP moulders.  The company’s 1st full year sales were Rs. 11.37 Lakhs.  The business at that time was small but it was a very important phase in which a solid foundation was laid for the growth that the company had envisaged.  Today, two decades later, the company’s long term plans have become a reality with addition not only in terms of newer colours but completely different applications of pigment dispersions in PU Foam and High Performance Epoxy Coatings using very innovative processing techniques.  Today, working out of its own facility and an additional rented facility, KROMATIKS has surpassed its long term plans by not only being an ISO 9008 company exporting to Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Mauritius.  The company’s sale of Rs. 60 million belies the extent of activity and employment generated.  KROMATIKS founding principles are based on innovation and product development and its growth has been directly proportional to the emphasis laid on these two parameters.  Among its most recent developments are: Low Viscosity Pigments with high pigment content for Fusion process and Pigmented Gelcoats.
